Snyder Environmental Named to Inc. 5000 List of Fastest-Growing, Private Companies in the U.S.

LITTLE ROCK (August 23, 2011) –Inc. Magazine, the premier print publication for entrepreneurs and business owners, has named Snyder Environmental number 1817 in its 2011 list of fastest growing, privately held, for-profit companies in the United States.  What is more significant is that of environmental firms, Snyder is the only company from Arkansas to make the list, making them #1 in the state as the fastest growing environmental services firm.  Nationally, they are the 26th fastest growing environmental services firm.  In Arkansas, Snyder was the 6th overall fastest growing firm.

The ranking is based on business growth achieved from 2007-2010, a tough economic period when Snyder more than doubled its revenue. Snyder is a leading provider of asbestos abatement, mold and lead based paint remediation based on Notices of Intent file with the Department of Environmental Quality.

In 1982, Inc. Magazine introduced the Inc. 500 to celebrate the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States. In 2007, they expanded the list to the Inc. 5000 in order to recognize a larger percentage of this important and growing market segment.

“We are honored to be named as one of the top environmental services companies on the Inc. 5000 list,” said Joe Carter, founder and CEO of Snyder Environmental.  Carter added, “Being one of the fastest growing environmental firms in the county is driven by our ability to offer the lowest price, highest quality work, and some of the best people available to solve environmental problems.”  Asked how they can offer the lowest price and the highest quality, Carter said technology was the key to an efficient jobsite.  “How many sub-contractors do you know that use bio-metric thumb scanners to clock in and out workers?  I bet not many.  The impact of that kind of technology has a very real impact on not only quality and cost, but also regulatory compliance.”

Since 2007, the firm has grown 145% in gross revenue, while maintaining profitability and reinvesting in the company. In 2010, Snyder Environmental performed twice as many regulated jobs as the next largest competitor in Arkansas. Snyder Environmental’s plans for growth include expanding its capabilities in current services, introducing new services which it has already done by offering roll-off dumpster services, and achieving greater market penetration in Tennessee, Missouri, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Kentucky.
